Q: How do I pay my bill?
A: You may pay your bill with Cash, Check, Credit Card, PayPal, Money Order, Travelers Cheque, Gold, Silver or Email Us and we can barter. Click here for Billing.

Q: How do I Login?
A: Click the Login Link on any Universal Number Page. Enter your Ten digit Universal Number and your password. (This is the same password that is used to get your messages using the telephone). Click the submit button. Your personalized Account Information should now be displayed. You may make changes and add unique functionality to your U#. Then click "Submit Changes" at the bottom of the screen for the changes to take effect.
Q: How do I retrieve my messages from anywhere in the world?
A: First you Login, then select "Manage Voice Messages". That's it!
Q: Is it really only $13.93 a month for all that service?
A: You Bet! At Universal Number you get one telephone number that can be called just like any other number. Your Universal Number is also your Fax Number ($3.99), Voice Mail ($7.95), E-Mail Address ($1.99) and Pager Number (Included) ALL-IN-ONE.

A: Instead of giving out your Cell Phone Number, give out your Universal Number. Using the Login page activate the following options: Transfer Number-type your cell phone number in the First field, Automatic Transfer- select X, Announce Call Transfer-type Y and Quick Announce Transfer-type Y. When your Universal Number is called your cell phone will ring. If you do not accept the call, it will automatically go to your Universal Number voice mail.
Q: How do I receive my bill?
A: Your bill will be e-mailed to you. Each month you will also receive a voice mail reminder. You are billed on the same day upon which you started the service every month. You can also look at a copy of your bill on-line by clicking here.
Q: What is IVR?
A: Interactive Voice Response (IVR) is a part of the Universal Number software that accepts touch-tone keypad selection and provides appropriate responses in the form of digitally recorded voice. IVR is usually part of a larger application that includes database access. Common IVR applications include:
- Bank and stock account balances and transfers
- Surveys and polls IE Customer Surveys
- Call forwarding
- Simple order entry transactions IE Catalog Ordering
- Selective information lookup (movies, event, schedules, ...)
An IVR application provides pre-recorded voice responses for appropriate situations, telephone input access to relevant data and potentially, the ability to record voice input for later handling. Using computer telephony integration, an IVR application can transfer a call to a live person who can view on-line data related to the caller at a display.Q: How do I recover a deleted Message?
A: Login at www.universalnumber.com and select Manage Messages at the top of the page. Then scroll down to deleted messages and select recover next to the message you want to get back. This only works within 12 hours of the message being removed.
Q: When will I get my first bill and monthly bills?
A: Your billing cycle begins on the day you sign up. You will be billed immediately for monthly service in advance. Monthly bills will include usage fees for the previous month. Your bill will always be generated on the same day each month. Click here to log in and view your billing date.
Q: What phone numbers can I get and in what areas?
A: Universal Number is expanding it's services. Please click the SignUp link and view the available areas and area codes that we offer.
Q: Where will my phone number work like a local call?
A: Your Universal Number is just like any phone number. What ever area you select would be considered your local area.
Q: What do I do if I wish to change my Universal Number box to another package, such as upgrading from the Basic mail box to the Basic Plus mail box?
A: All changes to your Universal Number box can be made easily on-line by logging in and changing your preferences. Click here to modify your voice mail box.
Q: How do I use my E-Mail account?
A: To access the e-mail server, click the E-Mail Services button on the navigation bar. Once you are at the e-mail main page, your User ID is your phone number with '@universalnumber.com' at the end. Your Password is the same as your voicemail box password.
